I've owned several different carbon block filters over the last 20+ years and this is by far the best. A little pricey up-front but the replacement cartridges are very reasonably priced. Top notch materials. But the best is the flow rate. Of all the filters and RO units I have used this is far and away the best flow. I would recommend this to a friend.

The unit arrived promptly, and was quickly installed by local plumber, who praised its sturdiness and compact size in comparison with larger undersink and countertop units he'd encountered. (He actually took the name of the product and wanted to research buying one himself.) The actual faucet mechanism is not as solid as one might hope, as other commenters have mentioned, but it looks fine, hasn't leaked, and the water pressure is better than I'd expected, filling up pots for cooking, coffee, or drinking water quickly. Best of all, and most importantly, the water tastes great. I'm satisfied.

This is THE replacement filter for my Multipure countertop water filtration system; this is the official one, not a knock off and is the only one I’ll use. This is a great water filtration system and only have to replace this filter annually. GREAT to be able to order these directly from the company here on Amazon - love it. Have had my Multipure system for mor than 10years, got it on the recommendation of someone who works professionally in urban water supply issues; it has been great and my water always tastes amazing. This costs way less over time and filters better than anything comparable.

I put several 'budget' (less cost) filters in my folk's Multipure filter system. I always wondered about the little bits of 'stuff' I could see floating in water from the system faucet, even months after the filter had been replaced.

The last replacement was a genuine Multipure filter, at at least 2X the cost. Result: No floating bits. Of course I would prefer it cost less, but, it doesn't.

I don't know what the flotsam in the water was. It is something that would be caught in a simple coffee maker filter (what the water was used for mostly), so I didn't worry about it much. Still, isn't clean water what you expect from a water filtering system? If can SEE junk in the water, what is there you CANNOT see?

Buy a 'real' MultiPure filter. Give the system the tools it needs to do the job correctly, as it should.  

We have had this little filter for several years now and really like it. Can taste the difference right away and feel at least a little better about drinking tap water. It works for us because we rent. We replace filter cartridge once a year. FYI - If I owned a home, I would probably buy a whole house water filter. However, I'd get one that had media matched to my specific location so it removed the chemicals and contaminants known to be in my local tap water. I learned whole house filters are not a out of the box kind of purchase.  

I purchased an Aqualuxe from Multipure several years ago. When we sold our home we put it in the listing that the water filter was not included. After we moved to our new home we had to wait for a place to put the faucet and the unit sat in the garage for a year. I forgot to take out the filter before storage but when I opened the vessel it was as if it hadn't sat at all. There was no rust, no funky smells or anything. I sanitized the unit, put a new filter in and installed it in our home. The water taste is great from the Aqualuxe and I won't use any other filter now. The staff is friendly and have always solved any issues I have had quickly and efficiently.

I have been using the Multipure under counter system for many years now, I am very happy with it. I like filtering my local water instead of buying bottles. Other than providing a superior product, this company totally surprised me with superior customer service. I accidentally ordered the wrong filter on-line, I realized this a few days later and ordered the correct one. Before I got around to calling and inquiring about a return, Multi pure called me and knew what system I had, and knew I ordered the wrong filter, they arranged to have the wrong package returned and refund my CC for the purchase. This kind of thing does not happen everyday, most companies would charge a restocking fee and charge me for shipping, but Multi-pure went above and beyond. No restocking fee or return shipping charges. WOW! I still can't believe what a great company this is. I will use them and only them for all my water filtration needs in the future. Thanks Again.  

Multi-Pure, We are super excited about our filter we bought in 8/07!! We woke to very dark water today as the city was flushing out the waterlines. We are still using the original filter and had been questioning this. We have not lost water pressure nor have had any bad taste, smells or cloudiness! With the dark water coming in we turned on our drinking spout to fill a glass of H2O and filled another glass from the sink faucet. Despite the muddy water all through out the house WE STILL HAD CLEAR WATER TO DRINK!!!! CAN'T EXPRESS HOW MUCH WE LOVE THIS FILTER!!! Thank you for selling something that works through the test of time and much use!!  

I have mine for over 33 years; I always recommend it, it's the best thing that ever happened to me all of my son's use it.
